South Orange Seniors was prompted by the curiosity of three senior women concerning how other seniors felt about living in South Orange. They decided to host a focus group and ask: what do you like? What don't you like? What would make life better for you in S.O.? The responses were so interesting - they were anxious to ask others.
South Orange Seniors was formed to help to launch initiatives that would empower seniors to bring about change that would make senior lives more satisfying. Social events, volunteer opportunities, community involvement were only some of the projects created. The focus groups continue as the group would like to get input from all the seniors living in South Orange.
